Scope of Works
Our client required specialist diamond drilling services to cut through a reinforced concrete slab at the Royal Surrey County Hospital.
The works were carried out within the maternity ward, an operational environment requiring careful planning, controlled working methods, and strict adherence to health and safety procedures.
The scope involved drilling a 120mm diameter hole to a depth of 300mm through reinforced concrete, while maintaining full water suppression and slurry control to protect the surrounding working environment.
The project was commissioned by Broadwater Safety Systems Limited, a specialist contractor providing electrical installation, maintenance, testing and commissioning services across commercial, public sector and healthcare facilities.

Our experienced operatives, Stas and Jordan, installed a Husqvarna diamond drilling rig to ensure accurate and controlled drilling through the reinforced concrete slab.
